General Panda Hibrid.......anyone got one?

I'd be interested to know if anyone has the" newish".......3 cylinder mild hibrid Panda....
How is it performing, do you rate it, and anything else worthy of comment..

I don't own one but I had one as a courtesy car for a day. I own or have driven the 1.2 petrol, the 1.3 diesel and the 0.9 twin air. I can honestly say that I would rather own any of those three than the hybrid. Gutless is a good word to describe it. Characterless would be another.

I am sure it has fully green credentials and might turn out to be reliable in the long run but it is not for me. If you are not fussed about the powerplant then the car is nice enough, much like a Cross in styling with the new radio, etc. I am sure it will be cheap to run as well.

I had one as a courtesy car a few months back when my TA was in for a service. It was a bloody awful thing and the lack of power was so frustrating compared to the TA. I would not entertain buying one.

We had two Pandas on hire for a week 1 hybrid and 1 standard. Driven in convoy they seemed evenly matched. I had to work the 1.2 to keep up with the hybrid. Ive only driven a 500 hybrid and It was simiar to the standard car but I could feel the hybrid system working and it felt like the engine was hunting. I was not impressed and would need a much longer drive to be convinced its a good idea. The basic engine is sweet enough. I would be concerned about the hybrid battery causing issues from the relatively few comment on here. I would second the call for an owner or two sharing their experiences.
