Hi All just found out my CLX needs a new front wheel bearing!!(And some welding!!) Can anyone reccomend a supplier??? my local factos are quoting £70+vat....is this about right!?!? Any advice would be much appreciated!!

Ebay is worth a look; there's often panda hub bearings on there for nowhere near that much...

Not to sure where you'd get them. Have a look in the "online shops that sell panda bits" thread. I think Shop4parts is a possibility, or euro car parts.

Try your local motor factors, I have just got a rear wheel bearing for a 4x4 for £20.
A certain well known ebay site took £65 off me last year for a genuine Fiat one.

If you can find a local factor who stocks First Line parts - http://www.firstline.co.uk/ - they are cheaper at just over the £40 mark. You can't buy from First Line direct but you can call them and find local stockist. The bearings come up much less on ebay than they used to.

Hey Guys!!!! Very pleased!!!!...just got a new hub for £38 inc postage !!! from "Autoparts warehouse" Thanks to all of you for the help and encouragement!!!!...just need to find a tankstrap now...........
Well done... do you mean "fuel" tank strap???? i think someone said they are quite hard to fit???

Fiat still list a tankstrap - be sure to be sitting down when you get a price though !!
Could tank straps be fabricated? not seen one off the car, but how hard could it be?
MEP and me prob have spare straps...
Need comfirmation of the Tank shape and size. There are atleast 3 different tanks and and straps across the mk2 range

Not all that difficult, mine has rotted through on the one strap, i'm ordering some 2" flat stainless, hopefully, it'll never rot (might even polish it up too just to be trick !!)
Slightly off topic, but I didn't think it was worthy of a new thread, are CV joints different for each side? I need a new front one on the Sisley but can't remember what side the mechanic said needed doing, and was going to get one off of eBay, but they don't seem to be side dependant
