Hi everybody. My partner has a 2016 Panda 4x4 which we've had from new. It's been absolutely great. However, the amber warning light started to come on, intermittently at first but now is on most of the time. There are no other warning lights on and the car runs and drives really well. I did a diagnostic check and it came up with error code p0520-67 Oil pressure switch-signal incorrect after event. I have changed the oil pressure switch, which solved the problem for about 4 hours! It's now back on pretty much all the time. I have changed all the external bulbs as I have heard that could be a possiblity of why the light might be on but that hasn't worked. Any suggestion would be most appreciated as I am pulling my hair out ( well, if I had any, I would be ) trying to figure what could be causing light to come on.

Is this the triangle or the EML. I had an issue with the number plate lamp bulb on 2 pandas which did similar not so easy to spot as there are two. Mine was a faulty bulb. Slapping the car on its bum sorted it for a short while then back it came until I changes the bad bulb.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Yes , it's the Amber triangle with the exclamation mark. I have changed all the external bulbs included the number plate light bulbs but it's still comes on. It's a mystery!

I have had the occasional message about the Numberplate bulb on my 2013 twinair..

Only time I get the MIL is after the motor misfires..and codes read as misfire ( with MES)

so I dont know how reliable your code is..??

What engine in this panda..??
Hi, sorry I should have mention that in my first post. It's a TwinAir. I've never had a message on the dashboard about the numberplate light. The car itself drives absolutely fine. I used a Topdon OBD2 scanner and it came up with that error code.

Check the number plate light wires and terminals crefully too. Where are you based someone with MES may be able to help.
I live in the Republic of Ireland. No one has Fiats here:) I shall check the number plate light terminals. We do live by the coast so it's a possibility there may be corrosion . Thank you .

I had amber warning flashing kept on an on I had guest it was a bulb on its way out I found last night in the dark it played me up I used the lamp. Slalk and noticed when it went off when I moved rhe stalk one way on board computer showed a bulb turned it back again amber light came on I looked at on dash board instrument it was saying look at plate lamp I did and one side was gone easier to see at night if open the boot so now end of the problem that took weeks to solve

If it says oil sensor, and changing it sorted it for a while it seems it may be a bad contact or a wire issue near the sensor. If it runs well its not likely serious. I would check the oil pressure using MES or a garage diagnostic asca primary precaution. I would not be happy if there is a question over this. Sensors can cause warning when only slightly off values are received. I dont trust lights 100% to be what the computer says either, but you need to resolve this. As oil pressure powers the valves any big problems will likely stop the car. It could well be a very minor fault but it could be saying its a big problem about to happen. So back to a thorough diagnostic. Also conside the part you changed could have been faulty.

Note the original post that mentioned the potential codes and oil pressure issue was back in August 2022... so that's hopefully fixed by now :)
