they look great photos I like the orange ,I see they haven't drilled holes in your parcel shelf , also I like your blue seats goes well with the pumpkin
also I see you have boot parcel nets either side I don't think I have them on mine
I see you have a different shelf to some of us It could be because you have split 50/50 seating but I am surprised that they did not allow the rear shelf to be raised when you lifted the boot

It very odd as I'm sure if I had two strings and two grommets I could fit them myself. I expect the grommets and strings come as part of the shelf so I wouldn't be able to buy them as spares. I'm sure one of the members on here will know as they seem to have great contacts with some dealers.

I like the little nets that's why I took the photo as I didn't know about them.

Other bits I noticed is it has airbag imprinted in the plastic on the pillars above the front seat belts which I thought was an option. Unless it's just a standard piece of plastic they use regardless of whether they are fitted or not.

On the colour, it is nice but I'm still getting used to just how bright it is. It does stand out even though the panda is a small car.

How long until your car arrives now ? I wish I could get the parcel shelf strings sorted. It is so minor but I frequently left the shelf up and set off driving in my last panda, then i'd look in the rear view mirror and suffer a D'oh moment.

Strange the 50:50 flex pack isn't on the configuration now. Maybe it was incorrectly priced.

Hi - I forgot to ask on Friday. Their last estimate was end of May. Quite a long time all things considered!

Re the 50:50 pack: I specked all the bits which appeared to mean a £50 saving, but I later realised this means I don't get the storage pouch thingy behind the driers seat. Probably not a saving then!

Ace pics there. The orange really is great!

The sliding rear seat looks handy. Weird to strings on your parcel shelf, but I'm sure the embossed pattern is different to mine. Maybe they supply a different one with the sliding seat option?

I'll take some pics of mine later to compare.

Btw, if you make a donation to fiat forum you get unlimited space for your photos
Great pics, I have ordered orange too with the 50/50 seat option pack + other goodies - roll on May/June......
Thanks for the other comments from other folks about the tomtom live - I think I may change my order to this from the non-live version :)

Top guy deeyup.

I took the same photo today of mine (attached) it's one digit different from yours. Hmm mine is probably some old one they had knocking about ;-) you're right about the pattern of the squares omit also being different.

Thanks for taking the effort to this.

Anybody know about fitting a tow bar to the new 4x4?

I don't think they are making one yet?

I could be wrong though. Keep an eye on the westfalia web site for it.
They list 2wd models but not the 4x4 yet.

I wouldn't be surprised if westfalia was the oe supplier to fiat for tow bars so your dealer may not be able to supply either.

The wiring is a proper job too. Even the dedicated wiring kit is a major job.
You could go by-pass route, and it may be fine, but personally I never would choose this option.
Click here to see the instructions of what's involved.

Is the parcel shelf on the 50:50 option 'shallower' than on the five seater?

Is there any difference to the standard Panda? Part numbers are 51887897 detachable, 50926579 fixed. Petch's website says the one they list fits all models.

Someone said the detachable wasn't available yet but fixed was - they were specifically talking about the 4x4 at the time, but I don't know if the numbers above are 4x4 or not.

Historically panda 4x4's have had different tow bars to 2wd models.
I presume it's because the body of the 4wd car is higher so it needs a deeper tow hook.

Yeah about tow bars. Apparently the fiat 'retractable' one is not available till September. I have spoken to a mobile tow bar fitter in Bournemouth and he told me that the detachable one will be available from his supplier soon. I told him it was not urgent as my car will not be here till June. He quoted me iro £450 vs my fiat dealers quote for nearer £700!

Just noticed, I don't have a net on the drivers side like you have in the boot.
Think I've got one on the other side though

I think mine is a parts bin special. It has those on both sides which is handy but I really don't understand what happened to the strings and shelf. It was a good suggestion that they maybe different depths but looking at our photos it doesn't look like it.

Had a chance to go for a drive around for 45 mins this afternoon and was really enjoying it the longer I was in it. Ride is comfortable just need to get more confident at pulling away quicker, I'm a bit hesitant at the moment trying not to over rev it but also not stall it.

I reckon the parcel shelf being different is linked to the sliding seats you've got. Ditto the storage nets in the boot. Fiat do sometimes add little things like that with options without it being documented in brochures. Not quite sure why the parcel shelf needed to be different though. Does yours slide with the seats or is it fixed in place like most parcel shelves?

The curtain airbags are standard. It's the front seat-mounted thorax airbags that are an optional extra, which is usually the other way round on most cars. The configurator misleads you as it shows a picture of a piece of plastic with 'Airbag' written on it, which suggests the option is for the ceiling mounted curtain airbags rather than those located within the seats

The colour is wicked though, I love it. And the way the interior all matches is perfect. Glad you didn't change your mind and go for a less vivid colour (y)

:)

The shelf is just fixed and seats slide away from it to leave a gap. I can understand it being different but not why it doesn't lift up as the normal shelf does. The strings with little rubber weights on deeyup's photo has made me realise it's the same system used on the mini. I assumed the cable just went in through the grommet and attached to the rubber part on the underneath of the parcel shelf. It appears that isn't the case.

Many thanks for the comment on the colour. The pictures posted of the black 4x4 looked good and I think the orange interior with the black is a nice contrast.

I'm still getting used to orange inside and out

A little thing I noticed today which I thought was really cool, what looks like just a textured plastic on the interior is actually panda written all over in tiny letters. A rather cool tiny detailing thought.

One last thing. Why don't fiat even mention in the brochure about the fuel filler not having a traditional removable cap. It's a Great feature but I see no mention if it :-(

It looks as though there are a number of differences in the side mouldings to accommodate the 50:50... Are you sure the shelf is not shallower? I'd guessed that the 50:50 seats go a little further back? Maybe time to get the ruler out...
Re the strings - does your car have the attachment points on the tail gate to take the strings?

This is getting interesting :)
