Cause of delay: split sliding/folding seats...

At the moment I'm inclined to just wait it out...

That is disappointing. Have to say though that, on reflection, I'm not surprised. When the original Panda brochure came out they were banging on about the sliding rear seat, but it wasn't available for the first batch of cars built (like ours).

Originally this was supposed to become available last autumn (I remember reading somewhere that it would be an available option in September or October 2012?). I can see on the configurator that it is available to order now for the regular Panda Easy or Lounge.

Not sure what the issue is though, can only hope for your sake that it is something which will be resolved in the immediate future.

On my multi display I get a lett H just by the fuel gauge Ive talked to my dealer but he dos'nt Know as its on all fait cars

My car is going in on thursday to have the heater wiring seen to

I've been told that the H means the car is in delivery mode but don't know if that's right. Something to do with being able to reset the mileage to zero and is meant to be undone at the pdi? It allegedly disappears at 125 miles (odd figure) if left there!! That was on a Punto btw and it's friend of a friend Chinese whispers - makes sense though, it's not in the handbooks. (y)

I wonder if they misjudged the demand as it seems like a very good value option...

The latest estimate is end of May delivery!

Hi all
H is for delivery mode, should have been reset after
the PDI road test.
Hope this helps.

At last you have an answer. I suppose it's probably down to availability of some component of the sliding mech.
You may as well wait to get what you want.

How are you managing for transport at the moment?

My 4x4 is spec'd with this option and it was supposedly built a week ago. However I won't believe it until I see it !

It's due here mid April and I ordered my car mid December.

My car was about 20 days from being built to my taking it home so mid April should be the outside I would think?

Funny after all this waiting, the bright orange panda with back to front heated seat switches will actually be here in just a few weeks :)

I just noticed you mpg deeyup at the bottom of your posts. 40mpg ! I hope I improve on that but I'm not optimistic. Even my abarth 500 did 42mpg :-0

:)

Hi deeyup

Luckily I have access to another car - though it's a diesel so very unsuited to the short journey I have to the station and back... Hopefully they'll get things sorted soon at the factory:)

Btw I'm in the French Alps at the moment and I've not seen a single 2012 Panda let alone a 4x4. I assumed I'd see loads of them, but no. Wonder who's got them all:confused:

Sadly no classics. Only two regular mk3s. However more Sedicis in 3 days than I have ever seen in the UK. I think they look quite good, actually!

When I was in Chamonix in the summer last year, there were a few classic Panda 4x4's and plenty of Mk3 ones too.

Sedicis/sx4? are kind of anonymous, I see one every day just about ('cos it's parked round the corner). Not a car you'd notice unless you look for it!

French have plenty of own brands to choose from so not surprised not too many fiats there ;)

Hi there, just a pic of new and old together(y)
