As yours already has the roof bars it would be a lot easier than when I did my car as where mine is a Pop it just had the plastic strips the whole length of the roof, the roof rails are in 3 sections, the back bit unclips, the front bit unclips but will also have a small adhesive strip at the front, with the front & back sections unclipped it will reveal a bolt at each end, undo & it should lift straight off with no trouble, when I fitted my rails I didn't use the factory bolts, I instead used stainless bolts the exact same length & thread to avoid the bolt corroding to the roof

First class advice I thought I would have to take down the roof lining

Go for it you won’t be disappointed just take your time when fitting you only get one chance the tape is that good plus lift the rubbers they fit then prefect

I noted from the other thread that it’s a one shot fix! I meant to get them last year wehn I noticed a set on eBay for £20, stupidly one of the settings was ‘include sold items’
Italiaparts seem to be cheapest options

Literally just fitted a set of these today to my 3 week old cross although the part number ends in 3 , not 1.
Advise above is all good , take your time , mark ends with tape and properly clean sills then you should fine.

Funny I was thinking of red roof rails just afraid of trying to fit them

Fitting is straight forward and I think I put the fitting instructions on the resources tab on here.

Note for fitting the sill guards: pull the rubber door seal/weatherstrip away from the bottom of the door opening before fitting the guards. This gets it out of the way and ensures the protector sits fully 'back' against the metal upstand that the weatherstrip clips onto.
