Technical Panda 4x4 propshaft bearing

The propshaft bearing on my 2013 4x4 Panda needs to be replaced but my local garage seems to think that it’s only possible to buy the whole propshaft rather than just the bearing. Can anyone give me advice on this? Thank you. The whole propshaft is around £1800!!!

Hello, I've just joined so don't think I can direct message. My wifes lovely 2019 4x4 has just been told by a main dealer (I know, I know...) that the propshaft centre bearing has loose play and the entire propshaft needs replacing. I've seen I can buy an entire propshaft (which may be the only option) and have an independent garage fit, or just replace the centre bearing. Could you advise where in Nottingham you went, and what exactly you had replaced/repaired as I'm local - but I also appreciate I'm replying to a message from 2022!

Des Shelly replacement shaft in the end that I fitted on the drive with not too much hassle. I do have a new bearing and the old shaft spare...
