Technical Palio1.6 sports

Hello All,

I have a Palio 1.6 sports version, awesome car in terms of power. It is done with 16,000 KM.
I have started getting some problem with this beautiful beast. The car does not accelerate after some drive of 5 mins. It looses power and I have to basically stop the car. When I ignite the car again I get the acceleration and I am able to drive good. This keeps happening after 2 mins of drive and the problem persists.
There is not indication of any problem on the dashboard. When consulted with the Fiat service, now done at Tata showrooms they had checked with the ECU (Electronic COntrol Unit) but ECU does not show any problem since the problem was not stored.
Can someone help me find solution to this problem. I stay in Bangalore and frequently visit Coimbatore , India if someone can suggest me some nice place to get this rectified it would be great.

get the following things checked:

1. fuel filter condition - if possible replace with a new one.
2. clogged air filter
3. get the throttle body / Idle Control Valve cleaned at the Service centre.

Today I took the car to Fiat service in Mysore. They showed real good interest, we went for a long drive with the ECU connected. But no luck in replicating the problem. Service guy called up the Fiat company and they adviced to chnage the Fuel pump and keep it on observation.

yes they are right. faulty fuel pump can be a reason.

The service center has replaced the fuel pump and has given me a month to test drive and confirm.
If the new fuel pump does not work they have agreed to replace with the old one.
I will update you all on the same.
