Technical Palio 1.2 mpi hunting and high idling

Hallo everbody,

I Am from South Africa and love Fiat and how they are assembled.

Previously owned 4 unos , 1.4 Tipo and now bought a Palio 1.2 mpi with 210 000km.

Please Technician or anybody can you help me to resolve my problem.

When I bought my 1.2 PALIO it was running rich and rough so i replaced the spark plugs, map sensor, stepper motor, injectors, oxygen sensor, cleaned and reseled the throttle body and also tested for vacuum leaks.

So here is my problem.

Car starts and idle. When revved up the revs are not coming down immediately but only after a couple of seconds and then starts to hunt......when take off the map sensor pipe the vehicle idles lower and revs responds normally. Obviously the map sensor is there for a reason so when i plug it back, the vehicle revs up and starts hunting again....

Please can you help.

Hi there, im from SA and im having the exact same problem with my fiat palio 1.2.. changed the stepper valve with and after market 1 but still the same.. if i may ask, how did you resolve your problem? Can anyone help me please.. i am out of ideas

Yeah, was hoping that he may have some how resolved the issue before selling, if anyone can help tho ,it would ve much appreciated as i have no intention of selling mine.thanks once again
