General pale blue smoke at 3000 rpm

Have got a 58 plate mjet 1.9 (120) for 6 months and just started to notice a pale blue smoke from the back of the car when it reaches 3000 rpm. This only happens when going around 90mph in 5th gear and not when engine is stationary and just being reved. Car was recently serviced and noting was spotted and oil levels are fine.
Am new to diesels and to Fiat's and am quite worried that this might be a major problem.

Would appreciate any advice that anyone could give me.

You must have left your NOS tank on!

black smoke is soot - normal

blue smoke is oil - not a good sign - its burning oil from somewhere
have your turbo system checked and make sure oil level isnt overfilled.

No it only happens when i'm in 5th gear and not in any other.

my advice is to get it to a garage then

My 2.4 Marea had a receipt to show a garage diagnosed a problem where the car wouldn't go over 90mph.. They replaced the throttle potentiometer and confirmed the original symptoms were gone...

Is it a constant bluey haze, or a single puff?

now now

i noticed that mine if im say on the way to work wont smoke at all.... as it gets thrashed a little bit

yet when im sat at say 70 on the motorway or a little bit faster for say 10 mins at a time, then boot it i get a puff of smoke
