paint removal.

1.just wondering whats the best way to get the paint off my bumpers and clean them up nice to their original colour. i got them sprayed silver and its started to flake off so i just want to tidy them up so whats the best stuff or method to use to get it off.
2. also i want to get my alloys sprayed black i think i know sum1 who can do it but is there any special paint i can get to make them look nice

You need to use something that'll soften the paint, but won't attack the plastic. Brake fluid is probably the cheapest method, but it's slow - might take a couple of days.
There are also some paint strippers designed specifically for plastic model kits - modelstrip is the one that I've used. Works with acrylic paints, but not with some cellulose paints.

Whatever method you use, it's best to remove the bumper from the car, to avoid accidents.
