hi all,

my panda 1.2 eleganza is giving problem again, just now while i was stopped by the road, the engine suddenly cut off. i restarted the engine, and the dashboard shows engine failure warning and the EOBD ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM FAILURE came up. Don't think the car went into limp mode.

When i reached home, i plug in diagnostic(MES), i got error code 1121.

Can anyone giv me any idea of the problem?

P1121 = Throttle Potentiometer track 1 issue, possibly faulty connections to throttle body, or internal failure of throttle body ( unusual) try cleaning connections, delete error and try.

Good afternoon, friends.
I don't want to make new thread, so I'll write here.

I faced almost the same problem:
My Panda (1,2 2008, with robot) stood for a few months in winter. The weather was terrible. And when I tried to start the car, it has given a lot of mistakes.
Some I got rid of. Specifically MAF sensor was covered with oil. Washed, blown and it works.

There was one major problem. This error R1121 throttle valve. And it does not appear immediately, but after a short warm-up machine.
First, trying to stall, then it gives an error R1220 and goes into emergency mode.

I've checked the throttle, everything is OK. Both position sensors are working. Both give resistance ~0,3Om at zero position.
It seems I have checked everything. I've cleaned all contacts on Throttle, on body computer etc. Today I will also clean the contacts on acceleration pedal.

The only thing I do not like that comes solenoids different voltages.
When the ignition is off to both is ~ 0.3V. And when the ignition is switched on first- 0,4V, while the second - 1.7V.
Maybe in this case.

I made a screenshot from AlfaOBD (sorry but it's in Russian). I'll translate the rows:
1. Throttle Angle, °
2. Throttle position track 2, °
3. Acceleration pedal position, %
4. Throttle opening, %.

So there is a difference in 5 grad between 1st and 2nd angles. Is that wrong?

Somebody faced with similar problem? Is it a new control unit to buy?

Thank you in advance!
