Technical P0482 Cooling Fans Control 3

I've had the EML come up on my 2018 Fiat based Ducato MH and when checked with MES it says Control circuit Cooling fan 3 malfunction, I reset it it with MES and and after a short while it comes back on again. Today, at home, I reset it again and the used the MES function (forget what it's called) to test individual components. When Cooling fan Speed 1 was checked manually, after a very short period the EML warning came up. I reset and tried Cooling fan Speed 2 with the same result. Reset again and tried Cooling fan Speed 3. This did not bring up the alarm. The fans appeared to be turning as normal. How is the speed of the fans achieved? and does anyone have a circuit diagram of the fans?. Any ideas anyone?

Hi, The fan speeds are controlled by a resistor pack. If you check on U-tube type in Ducato fan control you'll see the unit and where its positioned in the van under the dash.

I do not know but this is the engine cooling section of e learn which may be of help. It is for the earlier euro4 models but should be similar for later ones.
