Yesterday drove on M11, all of sudden the engine cut, try to starter the engine while in neutral gear it was moved at 60mph did not start I had to pull over grass side of motorway.

RAC come plug his computer in OBII it said error P0230 Fuel Pump Primary (Control) Circuit Malfunction and he can't hear the fuel pump whine when turn over the engine possible fuel pump failure or relay so he towed my car to home.

This morning I was in a good mood to go find out what is wrong, first I look on battery it said 12.8 volts is fine, look at the fuel pump put my own wiring positive and negative from old 12v battery to plug connect in the pump it went whine so the pump is fine but the connect output is 3.3volts seem too low?, it is very likely relay is fused look on side of engine bay on F10 fuse swap it with same fuse number. Still not turn over why the hell it won't start. any other alternative to look at?

The fuel cut switch under glovebox is press still not work do have hold bit longer?

Ignore my thread, my friend found F11 15 amps fused

So the issue still is there then

A fuse popping is not the fault - its a symptom
Carry some spare fuses just incase you get stuck again

Why did the fuse pop?
Fuse's only pop if the current is exceeded
Well whats on that circuit? if its JUST the fuel pump
its either a wiring fault (shorting to earth)
OR
The fuel pump is actually dying, some of the segments that make the motor spin aint making it spin
So when it hits the next working segment on the commutator - the current pull is much higher to maintain speed
As a result the current pull been too high = Fuse blows
