Just replaced the head gasket on my 2003 1.2 8V Punto.

Timing belt changed also - started up first tme but appears to be firing on 3 cylinders only, MIL is on with fault code P0203 from a diagnostic reader.

Had a bit of a Google etc and have established 'cylinder 3 injection circuit malfunction' but exactly what does this mean?

Checked all the obvious connections and all seem ok and just to add it was running fine prior to refurbishing the cylinder head.

Could I perhaps have disturbed something whilst 'spannering' - any advice or comments gratefully received as I'm a little stumped now?

Many thanks in advance.

Managed to sort it, broken connector on injector 3 - the connections are so flimsy its no wonder it broke!

Anyway, picked up a complete injector rail from the local scrapyard but the numbers on the injectors are different, originals are IWP095 and the replacements IWP116.

The donor car I removed it from was a 2002 1.2 8v - the only difference I noted was it was a 'Sporting' model whereas mine a standard 'Active'

What is the difference and will these be ok to fit?

Sporting is a 1.2 16v
Yours i assume is the 1.2 8v

Dofferent engines
Probably wouldnt work - dont wanna risk damaging the electronics

Ziggy

The unit was def a 1.2 8V identical to mine I removed the bits from although badged 'Sporting' with the different trim, seats etc supporting this.

Have fitted the complete rail and injectors (IWP116) and all seems ok so far.

What is the difference tho between IWP095 & IWP116 - bigger maybe?
