Hi Guys,

I've read a lot in your HOWTO-section and i thought it was time for me to show my car :)

I'm driving a Punto Evo 1.3MJET MyLife with 85bhp. (underground grey)
the only thing i noticed i don't have pixels with my novitec exhaust on...

i will upload pics in the right subforum in a while, not having lots of time right now :)

Changed:
- Novitec bodykit
- Novitec exhausts
- KW V1 inox suspension
- few sets of wheels :D
- Sonnyboy windowsblinds
- parkingsensors
- remapped to 103bhp
- dashcam
- dectane xenon 5300k headlights
- black logo
- steel plate to protect the crankcase
- LED blinkers in mirrors

to be done:
- all logo's in bodycolor
- bigger FMIC (ready to install)
- plastidip the 434 wheels

A couple of things:

1) Xenon headlamps on a punto, its just plain stupid since the headlights are reflector type and give alot of light scatter.

2) Why steel? Alloy would have been a much better choice as its lighter.

3) I'm assuming that the Belgian law is similar to ours that the side repeater (The one on the front wing/fender) has to be fitted and work.

Other than that, get the pictures up! :)

1) xenon is in my DECTANE lights, not in my reflector headlights. (stupidity is a form bad readers use :))
2) alloy is too flexible and just bumps in, no extra protection. Steel doesn't bump in, much stronger!!
plastic plate is rubbish, crank is very vulnerable when driving low.
3) the side repeater has never been removed, the leds in my mirror are an extra touch :)

Ahh right, never realised that Dectane were a manufacturer of headlight units, as for alloy, If its made out of 10mm it holds roughly the same strength as 3mm steel and still weighs less however, thats still a well made plate, only modification I would do is where the two bolts are at the back, Make a 10mm thich piece of flatbar to reinforce it as its an area thats prone to flexing.

Can you post up a picture of the mirrors?

I don't mean to appear ignorant mate :) Just a few little things that I misread.

Hate to be the negative one here but 103 isn't much :/ my gp 75hp got mapped to 120?

What engine have you Got? that's a big improvement

Something not quite right with those figures. to get 120 from a 1.4 8v, thats a 43 BHP increase from a N/A remap? you would need to have a full exhaust with a sports or racing catalyst and then some more mods.

My punto evo sporting can only go to about 170 (up 35BHP) on just a remap. Maybe about 20-25 on top of that with the exhaust done.

Yeah I was shocked about the stats! It was meant to be 112 but when the guy got to my house he said they're just finishing working on a new map for it which is 120hp. He said something about the map builder having a 1.3 mjet 500 so he was always trying to find ways to improve it. Celtic are an awesome company for mapping however I found one who have quoted better stats called Angel tuning. Same price or cheaper if you take it to them and they have a dyno. If you're interested in mjet gains check out mjettuning on Facebook. Guy in Holland is pushing 190ish from a 1.3 mjet panda

I am actually so jealous of you as I just posted a thread about getting some Dectane headlights!

So, here's the question!

Are they a high quality product? I think they look really worth their money!

As for the xenon!? Could you direct me to the xenon kit you have installed?

And one last thing, do
You know if they are road legal for the UK?

Thanks,
