Overheating Problem

Hi

My car has started to overheat. The temperature gauge goes up to the 2nd mark after half way sometimes the first. Then suddenley will drop to half way. It happens and any time either in traffic or on a run. It only started doing it yesterday.

Checked coolant seems ok. If its the Thermostat how easy is it to get to?

Next time it does it, give the dash a smack...

Not saying this is the problem, but there has been alot of intances with the same thing over the last month or so...

Lol Will try that! I know when my air con goes warm i wack the dash and that resolves it.

Yep that worked!! 'overheated' then tapped dash and went back down.
