noticed tonight my car got really quite hot, between 2/3 and 3/4 on the heat gauge, not quite into the red...

the fan didn't kick in at all, which is why i think it was getting so hot, does anyone know why the fan isn't coming on?

cheers

have you any air in the system at all?
i had this problem ages ago, soon as i bled it it came on :)

have you tried to test your fan to see if it still works? Unplug it and put a piece of wire (bridging it) in the plug touchin both contacts it should come on if the fan is working.

nah i reckon it may be something to do with a sensor as the temp guage jumps around a bit...

never thought of the temp sensor tbh lol
theyre cheap enough anythow

does the temp sensor also tell the fan when to kick in?

the fan kicked in yesterday as i mentioned in my other post, all i can think now is that the temp gauge is reading incorrectly, as it jumps about alot, so im not really sure what is causing this =/
