Have a look at your other posts but I think I have answered your posts on the cruise and radio BUT if you mean your cruise control wont set rather than you don't know how to set it then it may be a fault.
When we took delivery of our L in September 2013 (A 1.4 petrol) the cruise control was faulty, wouldn't set and had to go back to be fixed. The rather vague description by the dealer of what was needed to fix it was 'it had a faulty switch'. Checking the cruise control actually works rather then just switches on is not checked at the PDI.
Try what I have suggested in your other posts and if that doesn't work it sounds as if you need to make a trip to the dealers.
