*OT* - Website Counters

I want to put a counter on my website to see how many hits i'm getting...(i know i won't get many, but its just one of those nice to know things)

I've done a search on google, but they all seem to link to ads. and don't want to risk getting popups on my site...

An idea's people?

I use Frontpage 2003 and it comes with a selection built in. Not sure if that's much help.

I use this one: http://www.extreme-dm.com/tracking/?reg on our site. It doesn't have a visible counter on the webpage, just a funny icon that you click on, it then shows you all the stats you could ever need. Not saying it's the best, you may prefer one with a visible counter, but it's handy knowing if your visitors are on Macs, what their screen res is, where in the world they are, etc.

Your best bet is to look at other people's sites. If you find one with a counter you like, they'll probably have a link to get your own free counter on it somewhere too. Plus there's no ads or anything to worry about.

Just checked my stats...and i am shocked!

I have had 23724 visitors! (with an average of 2477 per day!)

I would very much doubt that it is actual visits. The counter on the bravo-guide tracks individual visits. i.e if you visit the page twice the counter is only updated once.
