Any recommendations? Been downloading youtube clips using doubletwist and want to clip them to use as movie ringtones.

Ive got pinnacle 10 software, it came with my dazzle adaptor which i used it for making halo/GoW montages.

very good piece of software, i think its a bit out of date now (version wise) but i never really used it to its full potenial.

otherwise a lot of people doing the same thing were always recomending Sony Vegas software, but i never used it so cant comment.

You can't go wrong with a programme such as Adobe Audition - simple lay out and simple to use - just import your selected audio track into the editing pane and crop away. You can also create loops and fade ins/outs etc. Once you're done simply export the audio track as a wav/mp3 file and you're sorted!

If you only want to create ring tones though, then a multitrack editor like Audition may be over-doing it a bit. You would be better of using a specific ring tone creating programme such as WavePad. It won't take up as much space on your hard drive or require as much ram but it will do everything you need it to do.

Hope this helps mate
