A few months ago I swore i'd never have a sub in my car because I need the space and could do without the attention.
I now want to take the strain off my front comps by switching out the bass on my comps and using a small budget sub in the boot. I already have a capable amp to supply the sub (JBL GT 6000) with 2 channels used for the front so I can bridge the rear two (Wimmy, do you know what that will be in Watts?). I'd like to hear your reccomendations for a small'sh sub in a box @ under £100 please. I don't want stupid loud but the range seems to go from 150W to 1500W and I don't know if I want sealed, ported or whatever.

This one sounds a bit too powerfull:

This one cheap and chearful....?:

And thats all i can see that appeals.

Don't touch SPLx :)

The MBquart will be quite a good sub, maybe not that suited to your music tastes.

Motorworld I think are still flogging the JBL GT4 subs at silly prices and they are really pretty good for the money. Wimmy's 2 JBL GT3-10s go loud.

they don't happen to be flogging a gto 4+ channel amp too do they tom? ;) plz!!!

cheers chaps.

I like the price of the JBL GT4 but it comes sans box. Do i need to buy a ported or sealed box for this driver?

Got this sorted last night and short of tweaking the sound when its not raining - i'm very happy indeed.
Ended up with the JBL GT310 Sub. Apparently more wattage than the GT4 and they had none left of the newer one. Bought a box that matches the boot carpet perfectly.

Thanks to all those who helped.
