OT: Spam emails

Did anyone else get an odd email with what looked liked compiled code (or similar) this morning from someone on here?

Looking at the addresses header, a fair few BOO members got emailed. There seemed to be no real content to the email. I don't know who's email addy it is so I apologise if it was genuine, but after that last spam mail that was sent a few weeks back I'm getting edgy about my address and spam.

How is it possible to obtain BOO members' email addresses? I'm hoping its not.

It was emailed to that address along with some other BOO members.

Some of the names on the email addresses are familiar - its the only way I know its BOO related.

maybe a spammer cam on and checked addresses
mby looking at their profile
which is where i just got your from
by hovering over your name

might be best to put an addess down which is not your personal address?

Yes, I got one from someone called Andy. Sent to my Hotmail address, which is not the one I use here. I have a feeling he is on my Messenger list.

Anyway, I deleted it straight away.

Yes, i got it too. It is from "Andy_SX" that comes on here, from Kent - owner of "Patch", no? (look at members galleries)

I've not seen him online in ages, but really doubt he'd send spam!

I opened email and comp didn't blow up so i'm happy

He possibly had some type of spam hiotting his pc and sending out to everyone in his mail box by the looks of it
I got it too and will be having words!
