OT - Moving in/telephone line enquiry?

Hey hey, moving in with a mate on fri into a new build flat, wanna get broadband set up, i need to activate the line aparently as no one has lived there before, i've been told it costs £124.99 to do that, anyone know if thats correct? or any other way to do it?

Yup, that's spot on.

Alternatively, if you go with NTL (Virgin Media) then you don't need a phone line for your broadband.

..And even if you do need a phone line as well, they'll install one without any activation charges I believe.

Ps. I don't work for/own shares in Virgin Media.
