OT: IT Guys outlook express problem

i think i have asked similiar before but cant remember! lol

one of our users was still usign outlook express ratehr than outlook, and his inbox bdx file is corrupt, has any one ever paid for and used successfully any of the hundreds of dbx repair tools that seem to be available?

or found a decent free one?

I used a free one and it worked - If he's hit the 1.99GB limit you may as well delete the DBX file and Install Outlook. Nice new PST file to play with.

no, its only about 500mb, think he just never shut it down properly and just shut the lid on his laptop all the time to shut it down. . users hey...


someone suggested a program called mailnavigator which read the dbx file but even though it says its time limited only and fully functional as a trial version you cant export the emails to any sort of file recognised by outlook or OE

I'llk start searchign for a freebie one cant do any harm i guess lol

Ian, you cant remember the name of the freebie one you used? every one i look at seems to be limited shareware
