OT. Halfords Error my Gain

The other day I was getting annoyed at some of the work tools i had and the lack of. So i decided to go out and buy some proper tools, ones with a lifetime guarantee.

Checked several places, but Halfords had the best deal. It is a Halfords Professional 150 piece Socket/Ratchet Set, which was £199.99 now £99.99.

Anyway i noticed on the website, it said Free 7 Drawer Tool Chest when you buy the 150 piece tool set. (Now removed after i purchased). Was £149.99 Now £112.49.

Anyway reserved the item on the internet, went down to my local store with a print off of my screenshot. 30minutes later im home and i have a toolset and a chest for £99.99.

Not so good for Halfords Shareholders though

They're one of the only companies that hasn't been massively effected by the so called "Credit Crunch" - Although it did shed 20% in the last few weeks. Still on my watch list mind you

Not a fan of Hellfrauds standard tools, but I've had one of their 'Profesional' 40-piece rachet/socket sets for over 10 years now and it's still good.

Ive had the same thing happen to me with a halfords toolchest. got it 100euro cheaper than the sale price.
