Hoping someone can help..

I'm having a mare! Only certain video files work on my pc and I've got a sneaking suspicion I've tried to download too many codecs and my computer doesn't like it.

Doesn't play asf's and xvids in particular :S

Any advice please :)?

Find where they are stored and delete it.
And get VLC Player

delete the codecs you have already and just download something called ace codecs

As Sven says, just download VLC.

If it don't play it, it ain't worth playin' ! ;)

Check This Link for a complete list of what it does.

I use GSpot for some specific files.
You just move movie into it and it tells you which codac is required to play that movie.

I did the above, downloaded the asf codec and it still didn't work.

That player seems pretty good but ace codecs supports alot more!

I'll have another look at it later.
