Hi all. Since buying my Nokia 6230 I have been able to connect to a pc for data transfer w/o any trouble but have never been able to get the Nokia software (PC Suite 5) provided to sync with my phone and use all the jolly aplications. When I open the facility which tries to connect using Bluetooth, it gives me a drop down list of 50 Com (Serial) ports - none of which want to pick up or connect to my Phone.

Anyone had the same problems or can help sort this one for me?
Thx in +vance

I had the same problem with the ericsson software, i read somewhere that XP service pack 2 interferes with the bluetooth software of some things. I found that the standard XP bluetooth drivers worked OK but aren't very user friendly.

Cheers Andy but i have the problem on machines with XP SP1 (Laptop), XP SP2 (Home desktop) and Win 98 (work desktop). Its annoying because I can data transfer no problem but any sync idea is a no no.

That's exactly the problem i had, the software wouldn't look in the right place for the dongle and there was no way of making it do so, a real pisser. Is you phone Vodafone by any chance?
