Just curious to see if anyone is a gym freak here, anyone go or do protein, creatine shakes, anything like that?

I run app. twice a week one about 6 and one about 10 miles.

I do many weight routines and exercises.

im a gym freak

3 times a week in the gym and 3 times a week swimming

on a decent diet as well

ah well i feel great for it though, so ill stick at it lol

weights in the morning and evening, cycling alot, and a good high protein and complex carb diet.

thats all i do really.

dont get time to go to the gym
 
Cool, i need to get my diet sorted, its **** at the moment lol, but yea i do, i did go 5 times a week until 2 weeks ago when i hurt my leg, i've only just started going again, just do a general ruitine in the gym and im pretty small so i am on a protein/creatine shake 2 times a day aswell to try to bulk up.

Anyone have a set diet or anything cos im looking to improve my diet but dunno what to do and am too lazy to look up on the net.
 
i mainly have wheatabix for brekkie, a jack pot with tuna, and something with chicken for dinner.

doesnt really deviate from tuna and chicken really lol

25g of protein per can tuna
36g per chicken breast

plenty of protein, hence the shakes.......
plenty of meat like fish, chicken as well as a nice nice of veg....if you're looking to bulk up just eat eat and EAT!
 
Yea, my bro is a gym freak and he said theres a good diet

seafood diet, see food, eat it! so thats wat i do, just gotta get more veg in me and start on a good gym routine again, lets all post pictures of ourselves naked then we can compare our bodies, it wouldnt make the next boo meet awkward would it? ;)
 
I go to the gym every 2nd day, do a mixed work out, bit of stretching, some cardio, lift some weights. They also do free abdominal classes so I join in with them. I try to keep it varied and my secret to cardio is that i make some pumping hard techno or trance mixes and use them to regulate my workouts.

its all about fun (Im never gonna be a big muscly dude) but I love the feel good factor and the natural high that going to the gym gives me.

As far as eating goes im terrinle (but getting better) I only have a take away once a week now and try eating regular sized portions etc.

I talk myself out of training everytime I go. I have managed to make an excuse just to relax since prior to christmas.

Quite scary really. Only trained there twice since I joined.

Smee - I am the same. However, the belly starts to appear when you get over 30! I was always 12stone no matter how much I ate/drank.

The pounds have appeared ofver the past few years. I will train at some point - honest
 
well im screwed then... im 17 stone now when im 30 ur telling me the pounds roll in :S goona be HUGE

LMAO you are a slightly bigger build (and about 10ft tall) so you are allowed to be over 12 stone!
 
As people have mentioned, get your diet right first, so you have the energy to go to the gym.

When I go to the gym I only work one part of my body once a week, so on Mondays I do biceps and chest, then on wednesdays do triceps and back, then on sundays do stomach and legs.

I always try to do at least 10 mins of quite fast running to get all my joints going, and to warm up.

Also, make sure you do a warm down.

If you have any questions about what excersizes to do, ask an instructor at the gym, that what they are there for!

since i moved out of home and stopped working on the farm as much i've notice i put on some weight so i try to eat healthier and if i'm hungry i just eat somethign small as someone told me if your hungry your body starts storing fat as it doesn't knwo when you'll next eat, so even if your eating healthy rest of time you shouldnt let yourself feel hungry.

other than that i cycle a lot more now, like if goign to village shop i cycle rather than drive.

every now and then i do a few sit ups or something but nothing too dramatic.

i did go swimming for a bit but pool was full of people just resting at side chatting and i didn't think i was up to the full on lanes session.

drinking is definately the worst thing for putting on weight! i went on holiday, drank every night and put on 3/4 of a stone in a week! even though i was walking around etc all day in the days.
 
i do! im a personal trainer lol If you want some dietary advice i can help you out, even set out a complete eating plan for you if you want (at special prices) :)
 
i wouldnt touch those protien / creatine shakes they make you angry, lowers your sex drive and they taste horrible.

They also can damage you muscles in the long term, getting big quickly!!!

Analogy: Put more fuel in your engine will make it go faster, but the engine wont last 5 minites

not true and creatine and protein are competely different things are have different uses in the body! if used correctly then creatine and protein are completely are completely safe!
 
I have a low sex drive anyway so doesnt bother me, the only thing that annoys me is my ****s after bein on those shakes for a week :(

Yes wimmy i do love the jacuzzi, saun, steam room (even the tanning room) lol, but i use that as a treat after a few hours in the gym

Interesting to see so many people go gym regularly
