OT amd memory OC

hello all.

any techies that can help, help would be appreciated.

Asus a8n sli mobo with a 4400+ cpu. When you install 4 dimms of memory it downgrades them from 400mhz to 333mhz.

I've been told its possible to over clock the memory back to 400mhz manually in the bios.

Has anyone done this and if so HOW, what settings etc?

Funny you should say that, I've got a Gigabyte K8N-SLI Pro motherboard and it does indeed drop it to 333Mhz. - I've got 4 dimms of 512mb Corsair Pro.

I overclocked it manually under the Intelligent M.I settings in the bios, just upped the number from 200 (333Mhz) to 241 (400Mhz) and all ran fine.

I wonder why it does that...
