i used the turtle ice wax on my '97 punto - green
i may have used to much as i cant get it off :p also the car is now turning blue!

do i have to tell DVLA that my car is now blue or just leave it as green on document :p

And any ideas on how to get it off? when i wash it again the water just turns to tiny dropplets are fall off the car! :p

blue!?! lol would love to see a picture of that :p

I've only used ICE once, i used the polish,

Cant say as i had any problems getting it off though, with normal polishes (though, if your using wax i guess this wont help) but a damp cloth helps.. also i gather isopropyl removes everything and leaves the car naked again so you'd have to polish all over again. (electrical cleaner, can get it in wipes or spray)

cheers, unfortunetly i dont have a camera for any pics... i used the ice on another car before doing my own and i had no issues. so i think the cloth that came with it might be saturated with the stuff, hense it won't come off :p

If i rub the car Really quite hard it does go green again - and quite shiny(y)

but will take ALOT of effort to do the whole car..:(

Get a machine polisher then, will still take a while but at least you won't have a hulk sized arm when you're done ;)

too much used then :D

get yourself a pile of microfiber cloths from the cleaning dept in any supermarket...

and a bottle of Quick detailer spray from a car shop something like this

http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/meguiars-quik-detailer-cat7.html

even a spray bottle with water and a drop of car shampoo (not wash and wax) in should work to a point

mist a section with QD and then buff off turning cloth regularly and replacing when clogged

if you having real problems removing it you need panel prep body solvent (used by car body shops to strip wax off paintwork)

A machine polisher is only for application fraz ;)

cheers for all your replies.

I've managed to get it sorted, however there is damage to the paint on the roof, cracks and peeling of the top layer - similar to that on our '91 panda, but the panda's paint is old and not been looked after 100%. The Punto on the other hand has been looked after and had no damage or any problems before using the wax...:(

Bit of a shame really, The stuff worked well on the '08 Mitubitsh but not on my '97 Fiat:(
