So I got MultiEcuScan for my Citroen Jumper 3.0 from 2007. Since it is basically a Ducato I'm mostly on this forum for issues.
I read and cleared some DTC's that a generic Android app and Vgate Bluetooth OBD cannot see and I'm happy for that. But I wanted to use the program too to reset the service interval and to disable the seat belt warning that is very annoying on a X250. It seems I can only connect and scan for the ECU itself, nothing else. Which is great for troubleshooting, but not for resetting the service interval... Any ideas if this is normal on a vehicle this age? Or is there something else going on?

Check on the MES site..

Some modules need a different cable

Did you say 'scan for devices' only found the engine.. again possibly a cable limitation?

Double check the 'supported vehicle list' ;-)
Yep, scan for devices only found the engine module.
I rechecked the list as you suggested and every device on the Ducato X250 3.0 has the ELM (ELM 327 v1.3+/OBDLink/OBDKey interface) icon. the Vgate iCar Bluetooth OBDII device I have had the ELM327 chip afaik. I would suspect, if it is able to talk to the ECU the other modules shouldn't be a problem.

Some need the 'coloured adaptors' as listed at the bottom of the MES Page..
The description for each cable required for each module was a bit confusing when Ive looked it up before.
Yes, I see it now, pretty confusing. But all modules I want to connect to just mention the ELM symbol. So I guess it should work, right?

Possibly..in a Ducato.. ;)

I will have a look again at the list myself :)
Haha true, I sometimes forget it's not a Fiat but a Citroen, but so far everything has been the same. It would surprise me if there's a difference, but you could be right. But if you Google "Citroen Jumper Multiecuscan" you'll see many people were able to connect to other modules, like the BCM to disable the seatbelt warning...

Pretty sure those A1 red blocks indicate an adaptor cable.. but there is @80% of kit that JUST SAYS ELM....
Indeed, but I'm not interested in the modules with A1. Service interval reset and the Instrument Panel are the two I want to access.

Fiat build several ECU specs for what appears the same vehicle..

Been caught out before :(

Maybe you have varied kit that is only partially supported...??

It's possible. They list 2 ECU's, I have the first one, I think the second one is for the more recent Euro 5 spec. So it's possible this list is applicable to the euro 5 spec only. But on the other hand it would surprise me all modules are different... For instance, I don't think the BCM was upgraded in the euro 5 spec. If I have time today I'm going to give it another go. I will also look out for a different OBDII adapter.

Going back to OP, I thought the three litre was Euro 5 from introduction and Euro 6 from 2016
I had a 2009 Ducato 3L 160 and it was euro 4. I believe the 3L Ducato became 180 at euro 5. I also believe the 3L was dropped at euro 6 presumably because of the cost of getting it compliant and was replaced by the 2.3 180.

I stand corrected…😉…I’ve driven both the uprated 2.3 and the 3.0 (a 2014 model) the latter is much more tractable especially lower down with a load on

There's both a euro 4 and euro 5 version indeed. I have the euro 4.

Back on topic, I retried connecting at the slowest baud rate (9600) but this didn't change anything. Still only the ECU is detected, I'm planning on getting a USB cable but don't get my hopes up.

I am not an expert on OBD2 connections, but on the x244 which does not have CANBUS., most of the separate mdules have their designated pin on the OBD2 port. The exceptions being ECU and auto transmission which connect via the same pin. To communicate with ABS, or Airbag controller, separate adapter leads would be required. Does the same apply on the x250, or does one module (BCM perhaps), serve as a gateway to the CANBUS and hence other modules?

I would expect it would be mentioned on the MES page with the X250

So, reviving this topic, as I have an Airbag issue - I don't know what - and I need to get into the SRS ECU. I thought I'd go the Citroën way and ended up with a cheap clone of a Lexia3/Diagbox adapter and another cheap clone of a special adapter to make the PSA software talk to the Fiat...
So I confirmed with the guys from MultiEcuScan that the Jumper is fully identical to the Fiat Ducato and that it should work. Still, I can only get the Bosch ECU detected. For connecting with the SRS ECU, I don't need the special (green) adapter. I'm still using the iCar Pro Vgate which is recognized by MES as an ELM327 compatible adapter. To make sure, I'll be ordering an officially MES compatible adapter. But if anyone can advice me on this topic I'll be listening.
(Btw, I did try to scan it like a Fiat Panda and I think I insulted it ;):D)
