Just found out that when the car is idoling and the interior fan speed is on 2 or less, it is in fact normal for the airconditioning pump to keep cutting in and out.

This is in order to keep the condensor cool.

Yep, I had a worried ELX owner bring one to me with the exact same fear! However his compressor was noisy so he noticed it more.

Good news is since I calmed his fears, another part of his system came loose and dumped all the fluid out.
