has anybody ever put a e reg uno tubo engine in an n reg punto , i have been asked by a friend to do this but want to know what problems to expect

why wouldnt you fit a punto gt engine?much easier swap as the uno is missing castings on the block for engine mounts so these will have to be custom mounted.obviously there will be more to it than that but its one major stumbling point.
TBH its really pointless when you can buy a 1.4 gt turbo ready to rock with brakes etc upgraded and it would be cheaper to insure

iirc the uno block is missing mounting points that the punto needs. i think that was right anyway

the mk1 1.3 UT lump will fit the punto and has been done before. personally id fit a punto gt lump (whih is the same as a mk2 UT lump basicly) in.

make sure u get the wiring loom too what ever engine u fit!
