Technical Oily liquid in Passenger Footwell

Hi there,
The carpet in the passenger footwell of my tipo has become soaked in an oily liquid. Any ideas? The oil level is ok and brake liquid too. i have been topping up the radiator lately. cant see any clues in the engine compartment.

Heater matrix leaking most likely, antifreeze does feel oily to the touch. Be careful you dont lose too much and overheat it.

Remember also that with a leak, the system cant pressurise properly so the boiling point will be lower.

probably the heater tap.

take out glovebox/shelf remove cover over matrix. held on by two bolts, but check that it is leaking from there before removing. new one is £15
