General Oil Which One Help

HI, All

Got a fiat punto 1.2 1999 16v mk1 i believe.

serviced the car about 2 months ago and used castrol 10w-40 and the car is using little oil i have done about 2k and used 1 litre of oil to top up to max.
Halford recommand using 5w-30 castrol mag oil but i think that is too thin and was thinking of trying 15w-40 castrol gtx high mileage on or am i worring over nothing.

it uses a 5w 40 and not castrol crap, halfords own be better if they do one

a 15 40 will make it sound like a tractor untill its warm
