Technical oil sump interchangable?

can anyone confirm the interchangeability of the oil sump for the 900 Seicento - from a bit of research it would appear to be the same as the old Uno / Panda 900.

Hope so, it would seem like Sei 900 sumps are like hens teeth

Hardly. They're available new for about £45 if you shop around. Try eBay, eurocarcare in Derby, Shop4Parts (Google is your friend).

No idea if the Uno/Panda one is the same, but the Sei engine is always refered to as the 899 -- it's essentially the same engine as the 903, though.
