Hi everybody, I've just bought a 2003 Stilo 1.6, nice car but a few problems,
the most important one being that the oil warning light came on and now is
on every time I start it.

I have checked the oil and as far as I can tell it is ok....or is it ?
I'm sure I read somewhere that should be max and min marks on the dipstick....but this dipstick only has a flattened area at the end.

Any help appreciated

Cheers, JD

PS: Spanner symbol also appears and says engine fault

Hi,
The light is warning of low oil pressure, not low level. You should get it seen to by a mechanic as soon as possible. It's probably just a faulty pressure sensor / switch, but if it's not continuing to drive it could result in a sized engine.
