Technical oil light flashing,

Technical oil light flashing,

If the car wasn't told about the oil change then it won't know. You need to use FiatECUScan to tell it when it's done.

You need to tell it it's had an oil change now, otherwise it will give up regenerating the DPF and leave it to clog (so I'm told on here, by someone far cleverer than me).

I forget how many miles after a change it lights, but it was obviously that many miles ago when it had the last oil change it was told about.

The other one is the "service" indicator. That is just to nag you, and goes away after you ignore it for so long, never to return again.

Is it the ECU telling you that the service mileage was not zeroed when the oil change was done?

The independent garage I went to was perfectly happy to put a completely different grade in (and only semi-synth). They said their computer said it was the right stuff (yeah, right). Won't be going there again.

Good luck getting to the sump plug. It's in the worst place it could be, behind a tiny access flap and tucked in. I was going to do a DIY oil change until I saw it.
