Hey all,

I recently discovered a new source of oil for the planet... its coming from my Tipo and is leaking like Henry's bucket of water :(

What would you recommend, skimming the head and replacing the gaskets or a new head and new gaskets?

Does anyone have a spare head they could donate to me? The work will be attempted by myself and some friends as I do not have £??? to pay for the repair.

I estimated at least £400 to get it done at a Garage

I replaced that as thats what I thought it was as there was oil in the Distributor CAP and lots of it.

I got a new Gasket seal from Fiat and fitted it myself. Still leaking and I tightened it up real tight.

Part number: 7756836

Check it up and see if I did the right thing.

are you sure it is not the paper seal sealing the cam housing to the head itself, if its a 1.4 engine??

You know what? Sorry I didn't reply.

At first I suspected the Seal behind the Distributor.. So I picked it up and had to take me mum shoppin'

By the time I got back and sorted out everything, I attemtep the change in the dark.

I woke up the next morning to find it was ok. But I didn't run the engine. I went out and came back and I left and Oil Trail all over London just like Hansel and Grettle.

I had put the Gasket on UPSIDE DOWN :bang:

All sorted now.
