Hi I'm an owner of a grande punto sport 1.9 jtd.Today i was doing maintenance and went to change the oil.I put tne new filter in the plastic cap installed the new o-rings and went to start it,but after that it leaked like 1.5-2 liters of oil from the little drain on the metal housing.I tried both the original green oring the white ones and the blak ones but it keep leaking and im not taking a chance at both ruuning it with even less oil.My question is,is there another way of fixing it that isnt either filling it with jb weld or tapping it and using a nut?any help would be appreciated.

Where is the oil actually leaking from, the seal between the plastic cap and the alumium housing, so either the O ring or a damaged plastic cap?
Or like I had on a 2010 1.6 Doblo MJ the valve that is meant to only open when the plastic cap is released a few turns to allow oil to drain from a spigot /pipe that you are meant to fit a hose to so that oil drains neatly. If the plastic cap is screwed all the way in then valve should stay shut when engine running.
I had fitted a pattern oil cooler/filter housing and they were duff and the valve didn't seal, I gave up after fitting three and repaired my original filter assembly.:(

Yes the spigot/pipe drain or whatever is called.I tried everything as i had both black white and green orings for the plastic cap i tried all of them and it still leaks, but today i went and purchased a tap and now im tapping the spigot with an m9x1,5mm tap and will be placing a nut with a washer

I think you may be fitting the cap o rings in the wrong grooves in the cap. If the orings in wrong grooves pressurised oil will be pumped out .
Make sure you have correct filter or you may not be able to fit cap correctly.

Well as far as the filter comes i used one that is bots the came height and circumference and as far as the o rings go i placed them in the spot of where exactly the old ones were

If it wasnt leaking before and is leaking now you have done something different.
Good luck

Little update for anyone that may need it:I tapped the spigot pipe with a 9mx1.5mm tap and used a bolt with a lenght of around 10-15mm and so far so good will post if there are troubles
