Hi, I have only had my Bravo (Ritmo here in Oz) for a couple of weeks and wish to change the oil and filter. I have found what I believe to be the filter housing behind some filthy, damaged heat shielding material. What is the best way to attack loosening the housing... from the top or underneath? Both ways look interesting. I presume that a socket on the plastic end nut is what is used??

I have the new cartridge, just want to hear what is the best way.

Thanks,

John

Hi,your best bet is to go from the top,if I remember correctly it's an 18mm socket obviously drain your oil first and don't forget to replace the o-ring on the filter housing cap

best way from the top
-loosen the hose from the turbo outlet, pull it off ethe turbo (only from that side).. push it out of the way.
-you need a socket 24mm(or maybe 27mm) to loosen the oil housing
-remove it the rest of the way by hand.
-be careful not to drop it.

I don't have that ****ty heat shield any more.
