Hey!
So my 2019 fiat doblo 1.3 has been the bane of my life,
Current has the eml on due to dpf not regenerating, is what it is,
Found out recently it won't regenerate because the oil Degredation timer is sat at 0 miles, cool! But no garage in my area can seem to reset it, they're all locked out of the ECU, and fiat which is in the next city over want to charge me £185+vat to plug it in,
Is there any other alternatives? Other than an early bonfire

Model

Click on the Blue MES icon

Might take you to a map of members who have the kit

Some late models have an SGW that restricts acess to various modules

I DOUBTif that's the case..

But a call to Gendan (the diagnostics distributors) should tell you all the various scenarios

I did similar with a VAG vehicle, they were very helpful

185 to plug it? LOL
First try manual oil change reset with pedals. Then try to start engine and drive some miles, if it regenerates perfect.
If not buy cheap ELM327 + necessary adapters (10-30€) and do oil and DPF resets with MES or AlfaOBD.

Hello,

I'd say MES of Alfa OBD. And the appropriate interface. It will be less than the 185 GBP + VAT, and you will have it for life :)

Let's wait until someone with a diesel engine confirms it can be reset and how :)
Bravo 1.6D easily reset by MES. Needs doing after each oil change. What is the model number? I will have a look at MES and confirm.

Think they're taking advantage because the local fiat dealer closed down near me so they cover a massive area now

MES does have a specific oil cnage procedure for Doblo 263 vehicles with a dpf in the engine tab. To be done after every oil change and if the oil light is blinking. This is in addition to re setting the servie interval and service coupon number. It may well be thay both are needed and in a set order. It does not sepcifically say but the MES forum might reveal this, otherwise trial and error. It seems pre 2015 has a different procedure to post 2015.

Edit. For some reason,Im sorry but my PC wont let me take screen shots in MES today otherwise I would post them for evidence to your garage. If I get it to do so I will put them up.

There is a simple brake pedal routine you can do to reset the oil counter - no MES needed (or any other diagnostic). I don't think it matters if the oil can isn't flashing - all this routine does is reset the counter to 100% not degraded. Clearly you'd need to change the oil for a belts and braces approach

Being a 2019 model means it will have the Fiat Secure Gateway Access module installed (can be bypassed with a £25 cable - https://www.gendan.co.uk/product_SGWBYPASS.html - you can probably get a cheaper one on Amazon TBH) which is probably why garages seem unable to clear codes.

Grab yourself a half decent OBD module (personally recommend https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B071D8SYXN ) and download CarScanner app - with the bypass cable installed you can plug the OBD tool into the bypass socket, and clear all manner of codes with the app, connected via Bluetooth.

As someone fighting a losing a battle with my 2018's DPF, I can guarantee this method works. I do also have MES and an Otofix scanner which work perfectly with the bypass cable.
