General Oil Capacity - 900cc Fiat Cinquecento

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick fire question to see if anyone happens to know the oil capacity of a 900cc Cinquecento?

Yep. But best bet (assuming you're changing the oil) is to drain the oil when the engine is hot (I usually run thre engine and let the fan come on 3 times), remove the filter, replace the filter and plug, fill up to half the new oil can as fast as I can (helps if you remove the dipstick) then go slowly, a little at a time, until the dipstick (wipe the didstick with a cloth each time you measure) shows the right level, run the engine for a couple of minutes (replace filler cap and didstick first, check for leaks, leave for 5 minutes and adjust the level (if necessary).

Point is, you can never be absolutely sure how much oil has drained out of the engine -- the capacity figures manufacturer's seem to give are always for an absolutely bone dry, freshly assembled motor.
