dont worry about a little bit of mayo.. worry when there is this much..

^^ car still ran, just ran a bit dodgy.

re the water rail, that needs the bolt sorting out. if that pipe comes off (and it will) then the waterpump will empty the whole cooling system very quickly!

easiest thing is to drill out the bolt

but if you can't, then there might be a few threaded holes nearer the waterpump (3 holes) on other FIRE blocks they are used to mount a hydraulic PAS pump, you might get away with using one one of them. But seriously, i would just drill out and sort out the proper mounting.

Cool..will do..its such a faf though that i was just thinking of other ways...even using a circular cilp such as the one used on the coil to go round the pipe..then bracket to a good point to bolt it tight...??

Posh; who? me!

One thing's for sure, I know who just volunteered to make salad dressing in bulk for the camping bbq!! :p

Is there space to get a 90 degree drill in there... you can hire them from HSS type places and it might save a whole heap of stripdown ballache.........

Either way I'd be inclined to agree with Arc and get that stud out and re-use the right hole...

Luke.

I now know.....Full fat mayo!!!!!...Yep the HG has gone...

Feel like im running out of energy...may take it to a garage...or i may feel better tomorrow and crack on with it myself...just feel a bit down about the whole thing at the mo...

Just get down and dirty and stop messing about.

That is of course unless you by one of the 2 sisleys on ebay at the moment.

The one in Derby looks nice but the scrappage scheme he talks about may make it too pricey no matter what he thinks its worth.

Keep smiling Kev you will get there in the end even if its on a low loader.

Jon.

And I thought you were the man who paid a mechanic!!!

By the way you need small hands to get the bottom timing belt cover bolt out.

Dave

:p Shhhhh. Need practise on other Panda's before I divaulge onto ours. BTW was eyeing up the timing belt on the Stilo and thinking about how easy it might be to do myself, and after a 5 min talk with the engineering lecturer I have, and the 'well if you muck it up this will cost X Y and Z' talk I soon got on the phone and booked it in with my trusted mechanic

Coor. They're expensive down south are they not? Would have been cheaper to have got Sid done by a mechanic :p

try doing it on that engine in a cinquecento bay :p

if you do want to do it, gimme a shout and you can borrow my cam locking tools if you want.

 The only reason why I thought of doing it was because it looks spacious under the Stilo's bonnet

(y) Thanks for the offer. Decided to get it booked in to be done instead. Would kill myself if I mucked up the Stilo

Thanks anyway though (y)
