not saying lets change it completely... is there not away that u can tick a box if it an off topic... and in out own profile can we not have a ticker box if i dont want to see off topic... this 1 1 page does all but the tick box will sort the post out for me... i dont want off topic crap... frankly its a waste of time... im looking for details for my problems and then i get some **** about top gear... woo nice car built by the best but at the end of the day if i wanted to see it i would of watched it

As with any television show you do have "Personal Choice" here. If you don't want it then don't read it just as if you don't want to watch it switch over.
Simplistic I know but hey, this is not just a car forum it's a community of people sharing their great passion. To keep it totally to topic would preclude building relationships and probably mean that meets get even lower attendances than we already get.
We are social creatures at the end of the day and iteraction on a personal level breeds understanding and tolerance, something which this world is desperately short of.

Its simple really. If you are planning on writing a post and you feel it is justified to put 'Off topic", then its off topic and shouldn't be posted. So don't!
As has been pointed out before many times, there is a chat room for this. Or why not set up another forum completely. Then those who want the off topic chit chat can go and have it, and if you want to know how to fix your bravo you can visit the Fiat Bravo forum.
Do any of you like getting spam, because thats what it is.

Well, for my two penny worth, I like the off topic chats. I have been very very lucky in that nothing has gone wrong with my car at all, but thanks to this forum, I have gotten help about computer problems, mobile phone problems and managed to track down some hard to find music. I do offer help and advice to anyone I can help, but just imagine if ALL the posts were bravo/a releated..I dont think half as many people would be on, maybe nobody, cause then you would only post if you had a problem, and who is going to sit here all day, just waitin to help out?
As things stand now, some people chat here, but if a car problem pops up, they are on line, read it and help out

Although people are not keen on breaking the forum into lots of sections (understandable) you could keep everyone happy by having two sections only -
1- Bravo/Fiat
2- Off Topic
