*Off Topic* Off Topic

Amazing! A couple of weeks ago there was uproar about chat and off topic posts with several people pointing out to others that this is a Fiat Bravo forum...things like "the clue is in the forum's name" etc

If you look down the topics right now there's more off topic than on. Cats, lyrics, videos...

I'm not complaining, I like a relaxed vibe on a forum, just slightly gobsmacked

Have we been infected by some strange virus - chatsky-b?

Er, I don't think so.....

True, many did moan when this place was being used as a chat room, with posts and threads spiralling into teen chat, but that has thankfully now stopped.

There is no harm in a few, and let's be honest here, there are only a few, light hearted "off topic" posts. If you watch this forum as often as I do (part of my responsibilities as a moderator) you will see that these OT posts soon fall down into the lower depths and do not detract from the forums original purpose.

Sure, if taken THAT literally it was an incorrect statement
There were 14 off topic posts when I logged on and was just commenting on the impression it made on me

But anyway, like I said, I'm not complaining. Relaxed is good

I tend to agree with M. Trying to find the "On Topic" stuff takes time now, I know a number of people who are drifting away again - ho hum

would it not be possible to split the forum site into different sections...one for off topic and one for bravo/a related stuff?

then everybody would be happy and this issue wouldnt come up the whole time

It's an idea that has been mooted many a time, and nobody seems to like the idea of changing the forum (but they don't half love to moan about it !! LOL)

My two-penneth: - I wouldn't like to see us move to a sectionalised forum like the Coupe one. I have been on the Coupe forum for a few weeks now and I find it quite confusing, but ONLY compared to this one.

I think it's right that the Coupe forum is the way it is as it has many more members than we do but at the moment I think that this forum is not only informative but bluddy good fun too.

BTW, Nige I know I am one of the guilty ones but hey, it's only a bit o' fun eh?
