Just waiting for the dealer to call me back to make sure he is available and the car is still there ready for a test drive but hopefully all will be well.
I am getting rather impatient and a trifle over-exited.

How disappointing. Test drove a 2009 Alfa GT Cloverleaf 170 today and it didn't stir any passion at all. Driving position was wrong because I just couldn't get the seat low enough. Considering it's a Coupe it felt like I was driving a bus.
Humph! Had really set my heart on one as well but getting back into Shabash! was heaven after driving the GT. Don't get me wrong it's a gorgeous car but it just felt very ordinary inside. No sense of occasion that I would have expected.
Looks like it's back to the drawing board.

Lol! I couldn't do it TK and you know it.
Think I may just go and test drive a Grande Punto and see how it feels. I know it's bizarre but from memory of sitting in one at Brooklands this year it appealed more than the GT. Maybe it's just that the 147 interior on which the GT is based is getting tired or maybe it was just that it was a black car with high waistline and a black interior that seemed rather claustrophobic. I'm really very disappointed that it didn't press any buttons for me after getting in it as let's face it, it's sex-wee inducing from the outside in no small measure.
GP would also leave me money to spare so that I could spoil the old girl too. Hmmm, now THAT sounds like a plan.
