hi, just wondered if anyone can tell me how to cancel out old odb codes as they are keeping my engine management light on, thanks.

hi, download the free programme fiatecuscan (google it), then buy the obd2 cable off ebay (blue cable approx £16 delivered). while waiting for your obd2 cable to arrive, completely read through installation instructions for fiatecuscan (you have to tweek a couple of things on your laptop), set up the software so it is ready to run. once the cable comes, you can cancel out (clear) the errors. also handy to diagnose any future issues.

I have used it on my Multipla and you do have to follow the set up details on the ecuscan website, but it is well written and easy to do. I bought my cable off of amazon for about £10 plus postage.
It will give you a list of possible ecu's for your car but if you do select the wrong one your laptop won't connect to it, so don't be afraid to use a bit of trial and error. I took an educated guess as there was 3 possible ecu's for my year/engine combination, but you basically can't go wrong.
Got to reset my fault codes and warning light.
Give it a go.
