Anyone know where it is the OBDII connector located?
If you have any pics it would be great!

its a Left Hand Drive vehicle. on the left of steering underneath dashboard nothing found there !?

Slight thread hijack.
Sedici now supported in the new version of FiatEcuScan (3.3)

Hi guys
sorry to dig up an oldish thread but,,

does the FiatEcuScan (3.3) or Multiecuscan 1.0 as its now known
work ok with the sedici 1.6 petrol ?

ie, will it read and remove engine fault codes on that car ?

cheers
Alan

I've got connected to my 1.6 petrol but not really found much of interest.

The 1.6 petrol engine is not supported in the list of software modules.

For our cars, it seems that the specialised software does not really offer anything beyond the bog standard software.

Does anyone know of any software/fault code readers that will work with the petrol sedici ?

I bought a U480 Universal OBD2 CAN BUS Fault Code Reader for my previous car and it worked great

but tried it on the fiat and it keeps saying linking error

cheers

Just checked the list of supported vehicles on the FiatEcuScan (3.3) or Multiecuscan 1.0 as it's now known http://www.multiecuscan.net/Default.aspx

The Sedici 1.6 16v is listed.

Both 1.9 and 2.0 Multijets also... but to reset parameters it suggests you have to purchase the "Registered" or "Multiplexed" version and have a suitable connector. (See the note regarding the ELM 327 interfaces at the start of their homepage and then the list of functions for each version).

Did see someone selling modifeid ELM 327's specifically for Fiat/Lancias on E-Bay a few months back.
Maybe worth a try. :)

I noticed that the sedici 1.6 is included,,but it only covers
certain things,ie abs/airbag/power steering
but it doesn't cover the engine ecu for fault codes etc

Alan

That sucks... not much point having/buying if you can't even acces the ECU to read/reset engine fault codes. (n)

Could try sending an e-mail to their support team just to double check [email protected]
